When Paul encourages the Ephesians to “speak the truth in love”, he uses a word that means not only “to speak truth”, but “to be true, to prove true”. This way of being brings healing to our souls and to our relationships, causing us “to grow up into Christ”. When we’re able to live authentically with one another--in marriage, in friendship, in family and in community, working to understand what is honest and true about who we are, we find what it means to live in freedom and to find joy in this life.

My hope is to facilitate the process of knowing ourselves and of becoming more fully known in our relationships. I love working with young adults, couples and families.

I have spent many years, (first as a linguist and educator and now as a Marriage and Family Therapist) studying how the brain processes language, relationship and trauma. I enjoy deepening my understanding of how we can move towards healing in body, mind and heart.

Outside of work, I love my time with my husband of 34+ years, with my 3 grown sons, daughter and son-in-law; but honestly, nothing is better than roughhousing with my little grandsons!

The ups and downs of life can quietly shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world - often leaving us questioning our identity, relationships, or carrying the weight of unmet expectations. As a counselor, I take a holistic approach to care, attending to the mind, heart, and body. I believe we all need safe spaces to pause, reflect, and reconnect - with ourselves and with others. I find joy in helping others navigate transitional seasons, relationship challenges, family dysfunction, emotional insecurity, trauma, and questions around identity and spirituality. I also feel called to support women in seasons of pregnancy and early motherhood. My approach is client-centered, focused on healing at your pace. I draw from relational and evidence-based practices, and welcoming spiritual integration when aligned with your values. I’m currently pursuing a dual master’s in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also recently became Prepare & Enrich Certified. Outside of counseling, I’m a wife, mom to a wild toddler, dog-mom, and an aspiring avid reader! Life is full - and it’s a privilege to walk with others through theirs.

Starting therapy can feel scary. It takes courage to face your struggles, open up to a stranger, and do the work needed to grow personally or heal a relationship. My hope is that even from day one, you will feel seen, safe, understood, and supported by me. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and I have a background in ministry. Over the years, I have walked individuals, couples, and families through some of the toughest seasons of life. And during those times, I’ve witnessed the power of what happens when someone is truly heard and valued. I aim to bring that presence into every session. I work primarily from a person-centered approach. During our sessions, we’ll explore your story and experiences together. We will also look at patterns, lessons, and relationships that have shaped your life, and identify the strengths and resources needed to help you move forward. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship struggles, and faith- or ministry-related challenges.

I am a passionate and dedicated counselor in training, and I have a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at John Brown University. I have a heart for helping individuals and families find healing, hope, and personal growth. My focus is on play therapy, relationships, depression, divorce, narcissistic abuse, blended families, and co-parenting challenges. With evidence-based therapeutic techniques and biblical principles, I hope to provide compassionate and effective support. I believe in creating a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore their challenges, build resilience, and experience healing through both professional counseling methods and the transformative power of faith. Beyond my work as a counselor, I am a devoted mother to three adult children and a 10-year-old, as well as a proud grandmother to five. Family is at the heart of my life, and I understand firsthand the joys and complexities of parenting, relationships, and personal growth. In my free time, I enjoy walking in nature, fishing on the lake, and vacations on the beach with my family.

Life can bring a variety of hurts that can knock people off course, leaving them with a sense of helplessness. This can lead us on a path of false core beliefs about how we see ourselves and others. My heart is to come alongside others to help create space to allow their pain to come forward, honor, name, organize and move toward a new understanding and hope through healing and change. I have over 18 years of combined ministry and clinical experience in a variety of settings where I have had the privilege in joining with others in their brokenness to help toward healing and growth.

I have a passion in working with a variety of issues such as grief, depression, anxiety, fear, issues of spirituality, trauma, and marital, and general relationship issues. I work from an attachment lens as well as family systems and emotionally focused perspective.

I received a dual master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Mental Health from John Brown University. I am also Emotionally Focused Therapy Trained and love working with marital couples to help work through repairing and building healthy connection in marriages.

  My greatest joy in counseling occurs when I am able to come alongside my clients and help them nurture growth in their lives - whether they are seeking healing from past hurts, working toward greater freedom from habits that have become barriers, pursuing stronger relationships with those around them, or simply hoping to step more fully into living an abundant life. I work primarily with women & adolescents: my background includes four years of serving victims of abuse at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County followed by over a decade in private practice. I utilize a variety of counseling approaches and techniques (including EMDR, CBT, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy) depending on each client’s specific goals and needs. I frequently work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship issues. 

  When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 active kids, reading & discussing great books, and spending time outdoors in the garden or on the trails. 

Dr. Massey is passionate about equipping others to reach the potential that God designed them for. He believes that medication is not, in and of itself, the sole treatment for mental health disorders--and utilizes interpersonal therapy, spiritual engagement, exercise, nutrition, light therapy, and other interventions for the best possible outcomes. He has 17 years as a practicing psychiatrist, working largely with mood, anxiety, personality, substance use, sleep, and eating disorders. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering before attending medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Massey completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Pittsburgh’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic prior to returning to his native Arkansas to practice. He lives in Fayetteville with his wife and two pups.

I have a heart for supporting children, families, and individuals as they navigate life’s transitions. I especially enjoy working with children in the play therapy setting, as well as supporting individuals who are experiencing grief, anxiety, or emotional challenges related to change or loss. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I take a person-centered approach, as I believe each individual is created with inherent worth and already carries strengths within them. I believe growth and healing happen when people feel accepted, supported, and genuinely understood. Before beginning my master’s degree in counseling, I worked with the Department of Human Services in the Child Protective Services unit, where I helped license foster and adoptive homes throughout Northwest Arkansas. These experiences deeply shaped my trauma-informed approach and gave me a greater understanding of the systems that impact children, individuals, and families. My faith is an important part of who I am and guides me to lead with empathy, humility, and respect for each person’s unique story. When I am not in session, I love exploring Northwest Arkansas, spending time with friends, and watching old and new movies.

We seek counseling when the people in our life are worn out trying to help us and the means we are using to cope are failing us. That is how it was for me. When we counsel, I will meet you where you are and love you unconditionally. I speak truth in love and will be a mirror helping you see your life more clearly. Understanding where exactly you are is needed before you can decide to change and do the work required. We will work together as hard as you are willing to work. Unlike what your parent said to you when they disciplined you as a child, “This is going to hurt me more than you” (and you totally didn’t believe them), I will tell you it will hurt you more than me yet I will hurt with you and cheer you on to the other side where you realize you have grown and, hopefully, believe the pain was more than worth it to know healing, renewed strength, or possibly strength for the first time! Growth is worth whatever it takes!

Foster is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. He works with teens and adults, as well as couples. Foster is an Associate Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT) Candidate with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and is passionate about helping clients navigate challenges around sexuality and sexual addiction. In addition, he works with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, men’s issues, OCD, relationship struggles, spiritual questions, and work-related stress. When working with couples, Foster uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach designed to help couples strengthen their connection and move toward a healthier, more secure relationship. Foster considers it a privilege to walk alongside people as they process their stories and work through life’s challenges. His goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where clients can honestly explore their hopes, fears, and the patterns that might be keeping them stuck. Outside of the office, Foster loves spending time outdoors — especially hiking and backpacking — and he’s worked as an outdoor adventure guide in the past. You can often find him and his wife Morgan exploring Northwest Arkansas or taking walks with their basset hound.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist. She graduated from John Brown University in December of 2014 with a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and Community Counseling. She has worked in a private practice setting since 2015 seeing clients of all ages and presenting issues. Her focus is on child, teen, and young adult issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavior issues, family issues, and grief. She enjoys meeting people where they are and walking alongside them in their journey towards hope and healing. She believes that God is at work in each person’s story. Karissa takes a client-centered approach to counseling while using techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and systems therapy. She is also a Trust Based Relationship Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, and she utilizes TBRI in her work with children and families.

I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Vocational Ministry from Harding University and am completing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My husband of 28 years and I have worked in Uganda and Rwanda and raised three beautiful children. When not counseling, I love climbing with my family, being outside, watching my children at bike races, and walking my two Australian Shepherds. Every person has inherent value and is worthy of being seen and heard. It is one of my greatest honors to hold space for your story and processing, and to explore with you the dreams you have. There is often a gap between who we want to be or think we should be and who we are. I would love to come alongside you to help navigate that space. I find cognitive behavioral therapy to be useful for many struggles, like anxiety and depression. Understanding the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and exploring these in your story can lead to clarity and growth. As a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, I also work with couples who are preparing for marriage, strengthening their relationship, or facing difficulties. I am also trained in EFT.

Life is hard. Relationships can be complicated. Grief and interrupted expectations are a normal part of our experience. My husband and I have lived in Northwest Arkansas for 20 years. We have five kids ranging from elementary to college. We have worked in full time ministry for the last 26 years. I have a Bachelor’s in Family Development from Oklahoma Baptist university, a Master’s in Sociology from Auburn University and a Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University. I have training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

As a counseling intern, my interests include working with adults and teens experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, chronic illness or injury, and post-traumatic stress. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to share their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Therapy is most effective when clients feel genuinely heard and understood. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that each individual is the expert on their own life and the challenges they face. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, build insight, and develop practical coping strategies that support emotional well-being and resilience. I am especially mindful of how past experiences can influence current emotions and relationships. My goal is to meet clients where they are with empathy, patience, and respect, supporting them as they work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and am currently a graduate student in John Brown University’s counseling program, where I continue to expand my clinical skills and deepen my understanding of the therapeutic process. My training emphasizes ethical care, compassion, and thoughtful integration of personal values within counseling, which guide my work with clients. In my free time, I find joy in reading books and spending quality time with friends, family, and my two dogs.

I became a counselor out of a desire to walk alongside people as they move towards hope and find healing along the way..
