The Portland team will seek to bless, serve, and learn from Cameron and Susannah Heger, current church planters in Northeast Portland and former FSM staff at Fellowship Rogers. They will be partnering with their church, Door of Hope Northeast with hopes of gaining a renewed vision of the early church through service and learning. This team will also serve with Portland Rescue Mission, a gospel centered organization seeking to serve the people of need in the city. This team’s emphasis will be understanding WHY we submit to the claims of Christ amidst a culture of skepticism, all while practicing the walk Jesus laid out for us. Students going on this trip are eager to serve those in need and learn how to live amidst a city that is skeptical of the gospel.
