Biblical Foundations – Course II: Principles for Reading the Bible
You must have completed Biblical Foundations Course I.
When: Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm | February 19 - April 23, 2026
Who: Led by Melissa Church
This is a lecture/workshop format. In this course, you will learn to recognize the Bible’s various genres and how to read them correctly, then you will practice those principles in a mini-workshop setting with some very basic study methods for each. This course is currently being revised! Homework will be very limited and should not create a barrier for any BFI participant who wants to take the course or repeat it, but there will be opportunity for practice outside the workshop setting for those who have capacity.
Paul’s second letter to Timothy exhorts us all: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
There is a $15 book cost associated with this course.
