Description: Almost every culture in the world uses stories to communicate much deeper messages than might appear on the surface. Jesus often told His followers stories that are called “parables” in Scripture. He used familiar, everyday situations to help them understand powerful truths. But because these stories are rooted in the culture of His day and not our own, we often miss His point. Our modern way of thinking can get in the way. For those who are familiar with Scripture, though we often think that we “know” these stories, I hope you’ll find this look at them as challenging as I have!
