About this event

EVENING CLASS (morning class is also offered)

Biblical Foundations is a multi-coursed program that will be repeated regularly as an option to the seasonal Mosaic Women’s Bible Study offering. This study is Course I and it provides a bedrock of sound and reliable skills for rightly handling the Word of Truth.

In this course you will learn a brief history of the Bible, how it is arranged, and what kinds of writing are used to tell its story and why all that matters. We will talk about the authorship of the word; its inspiration, and its inerrancy and why it’s important to understand that. We will answer questions about various translations and will discuss the unity of the Biblical story so that you can read, study, and understand God’s message. This is a class of fundamentals. Whether you are a new believer or you want to have these answers for leading others, this course will lay the first stones in establishing that firm foundation.

This course does have a heavy homework aspect and the classroom is largely interactive and discussion based.

(Course II: Reading Biblical Genres, will be offered Spring 2025. Course I is required before taking Course II or beyond.)
