Why do you think these travelers didn’t recognize Jesus (verse 16)? How would you characterize their retelling of the events of the last few days in (verses 19-24)? What do you think these men are believing?

Why do you think these men recognized Jesus when he broke the bread?
According to verse 32, what were they feeling as Jesus spoke? Have you ever felt anything like that? Share with the group.
They had just finished a seven-mile walk (verse 13) but they returned “that same hour” (verse 33). Why were they so excited? How can we capture some of that energy in regard to sharing the news that Jesus is alive?
