Who was your favorite teacher in school? What about them helped you learn or succeed?

Read Ephesians 6:1-9 How does honoring our parents show God respect?

How does nurturing our children show God respect? In verses 5-11, how would showing submission, mutual respect, and familial love despite class or racial distinctions have challenged the ancient world? How might that challenge our world today?

What principles from this passage can we apply in our context by the way we treat those who have authority over us? That we have authority over? Consider how Jesus modeled godly authority by the way He led His disciples and modeled submission to His earthly authorities.

What does it look like to work as if for the Lord and not for man?

Pray that the way we show respect and dignity for others would reflect Jesus to our world.
